Building thoughtful software across backend, applied ML, and product, grounded in people and context.
Hey, I'm Leo, a third-year CS major at UCI. I build end-to-end software across backend and applied ML, with a focus on how it helps people. I believe the best engineering comes from understanding the human context, not just the technical constraints.
When I'm away from the terminal, I slow things down. I like taking photos with my Fujifilm X100V, playing sports when I'm convinced to play, mediating disputes between my two cats (Udon and Ramen), and attempting to not give away the win in Mahjong.
I try to design systems and workflows around real people first. Metrics matter, but they come second to usability, clarity, and how the product actually feels to use.
I care about performance where users can feel it. I focus on reducing latency and complexity when it improves experience, not just to optimize for its own sake.
I believe in building intelligent tools that empower human creativity and decision-making, ensuring technology serves people, not just algorithms.

LeosTwin is a digital twin trained on my projects, writing, and experiences. Ask about my work, how I think about systems and products, or what I'm building toward. Responses reflect how I reason, not just what I've done.
I'm always open to discussing artifical intelligence, photography, basketball, or swapping Mahjong strategies. Drop me a line.
